BANSHEE MUSIC PROMOTION UG manage and advise the Irish folk musician-cum-actor Finbar Furey. Owner and CEO is Walter Gommers. The cooperation between the experienced event manager and the artist has lasted for over 40 years now. Walter Gommers and Finbar Furey are closely connected not just by an agreeable business relationship but also by a very deep familiare friendship of long standing.
Many years of experience and a long-term expertise in the concert business – that is what Gommers excels at. Over the years he has worked for top-class artists and shows ranging from AC/DC or R.E.M. to Michael Jackson or Phil Collins and from Westernhagen to Die Toten Hosen. Be it Classic or Rock, Pop or Schlager - Walter Gommers has attended to customers of most various genres and has worked with reputable concert and tour promoters as well as local promoters.
He has staged concerts at nationally and internationally renowned concert arenas and open-air venues amongst which there are London Arena, Royal Albert Hall, Dortmund Westfalenhalle, the Loreley, Lanxess Arena Cologne, O2 Hamburg, O2 Berlin and the Duesseldorf ISS Dome.
Since 1997, he has been an associate of S.T.E.P. GmbH, a show promotion company where he became CEO in 2013. Amongst others, S.T.E.P. GmbH has worked with Disney On Ice, Udo Juergens and Sascha Grammel. Previously, for almost 40 years, he had run the Walter Gommers Konzert- und Werbeagentur GmbH, a company which successfully promoted world-famous artists touring Europe, Australia and the USA.
His vast treasure of experience provides a solid ground for Walter Gommers’ new project - BANSHEE MUSIC PROMOTION UG: together with Finbar Furey, the expert promoter is now planning several studio productions and world-wide concert tours.
